KIDDERMINSTER GOLF CLUB WIN 3RD T H WHITE GOLF DAY

Following last year's very successful second T H WHITE Golf day held at Wharton Park G.C. Bewdley, in Worcestershire, This year's event moved to Bromsgrove Golf Centre in Worcestershire. 32 golfers braved the elements on a damp windy typical summer’s day on a superbly presented golf course which was a credit to Ted Evans, Course Manager, and his greenkeeping staff.
Bromsgrove Golf Centre use Ransomes Jacobsen frontline mowing equipment and a brand new fleet of 18 EZGO RXV State of the art golf cars supplied by T H WHITE Grasscare at Redditch.
Over 15 clubs were represented by Course Owners, Managers, Head Greenkeepers, Greens Committee Members and Greenkeepers . in support were Ransomes Jacobsen Staff and T H WHITE staff.
The support staff for the event were Tim Lane (Grasscare divisional manager) and Ray Eckersley (Redditch branch manager) who both provided on-course refreshments, Lee Miles (Parts Manager), Jon Lewis (Area Sales Manager), Andy Higgs (Regional Sales Manager from Ransomes Jacobsen) and Simon Bingham (Area Sales Manager) who organized the event.
The competition was an Individual Stableford off ¾ handicap The winner being Richard Tomkin 1st Assistant from Kidderminster Golf Club playing off 11 handicap with 33points, Second Place went to Bruce Eddy from Sapey Golf Club with 30 points on countback, Third Place went to Adam Wood from Droitwich with 30 points and fourth place went to Dan Taylor from Broadway Golf Club with 30 points. Nearest the pin in two was won by William Weaver from Worfield G.C., Nearest the Pin was won by Rod Hunter from Kidderminster G.C., Longest Drive for the over 50s was won by William Weaver from Worfield G.C. and Longest Drive was won by Adam Wood from Kidderminster G.C.
Finally, a special mention for Phil and Adam Morris directors of Bromsgrove Golf Centre who provided a great day. Preparations for next year's event iwhich will take place at Sapey G.C. is already underway.
