MULES GO TO UNIVERSITY

by T H WHITE on December 7, 2016

It’s easy to forget that institutions such as universities often have extensive groundcare responsibilities. When University of Bristol head gardener James Fiddock needed to replace some life-expired compact tractors, he turned to T H WHITE.

“The university was looking for some tough, versatile and reliable machines that could cope with a wider range of tasks than the old tractors,” said T H WHITE Groundcare representative Stuart Fry. “We have dealt with the University of Bristol for many years and we were very pleased to advise on the new equipment.”

Stuart recommended the ultra-reliable Kawasaki Mule 610 with selectable two or four-wheel-drive, continuously variable transmission and a powerful 4-stroke air-cooled engine. The university took delivery of three Kawasaki 610s in July, just in time for the busiest work of the summer season. Since then they have proved their versatility as pick-ups, transporters and haulage vehicles on varying terrain of the university’s different sites.
