You never know what you’ll learn at a Groundcare event. We spoke to Harvey Brooke, Sales Manager for Groundcare about his key takeaways from 2024’s inspirational round of events.
Harvey told us “We attended several events this year, including accompanying T H WHITE Agriculture to Burwarton Show; visiting Saltex and BTME, and of course making the most of Groundsfest.
We had a fantastic stand at Groundsfest with the new T H WHITE events trailer with lots of great kit. The build up to the event was well timed as the show was on the Tuesday and Wednesday so we could get everything set up beforehand. The whole sales team gave up their Sundays and worked hard to ensure the stand looked amazing. The team were committed to get the stand set up on Sunday to attend an ISEKI dealer day on the Monday afternoon. Even with that additional event to attend, the hard work on Sunday ensured our Groundsfest presence looked perfect. Lots of visitors told me the machinery looked tidy and we had a great attendance during the event. We also generated some good leads for the team to follow up which is positive.
For the show visitors, I think the biggest perk of attending events like Groundfest is being able to demo and see the machines in action. It really makes a difference if you are considering investing in new technology to be able to see the machine working. Well over eight thousand visitors went to Groundsfest, with 4,738 on day one and 3,276 on day two. It’s been growing steadily to become the biggest groundcare event in the UK, and we’re delighted to be part of it. The sales team get really motivated by all the events we attend because we can see many new faces and all the new technology in one place.
Best things I’ve seen this year in terms of new technology must be the autonomous robot mowers. Brand new this year and available to buy in 2025 was the RoviMo from Wessex who are currently known for their trailed mowing decks. This is the first powered item from Wessex and a new entry into the robotic mowing space which certainly suggests this implement manufacturer feels robotics are the way forward. The RoviMo comes with a cylinder head at the moment but Wessex tell us they’ll be supplying it with a scarifier and other attachments very soon. We look forward to working with Wessex to promote the new range in Spring 2025.
We’re committed to the Groundcare events season. It’s a great chance to catch up with manufacturers and other suppliers in the industry and the knowledge we learn from events ultimately supports our customers. It also really inspires the sales team to go above and beyond. We can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store!”
