T H WHITE Groundcare are delighted to announce that Lewis Little joined our growing Groundcare sales team as the new Area Sales Representative for Staffordshire & Shropshire.
We caught up with Lewis on his 4th day working for T H WHITE to find out more about Groundcare’s newest member of the sales team.
Before joining T H WHITE, Lewis worked as an energy advisor, offering free boiler upgrades and home insulation through government grants to eligible households. Lewis says he has some interesting stories from going door to door offering government help. He said of the experience “It was quite hard, everyone is skeptical these days, but it helped me hone my sales skills and develop a thick skin!” He sees his new role at T H WHITE as a chance to further progress those selling skills and to develop into the role of Groundcare Sales. “I want to embed myself into this role. I love learning about new technology and mechanisation and with this job there is so much to learn, I’m keen to dive in”.
Lewis went to his first supplier demo day yesterday, hosted by Amazone and featuring products from both Amazone and Iseki. He said of the day, “It was great to see the machines in action. I love the way the Amazone cutting deck is integrated into the machine and collects and dumps cuttings without having to add attachments”.
He has also attended a delivery and demonstration for a local Council who have upgraded their fleet to 23 new Toro 3300 machines from T H WHITE. “We delivered the first 14 machines and once we’d unloaded the delivery, Harvey (T H WHITE’s Groundcare Sales Manager) went through how to use the machines and how to maintain them, then he demonstrated them and answered the team’s questions. This initial training was for the council’s whole grounds care team. Harvey highlighted key things to look out for and how to enhance the lifetime of the machines, and how to avoid additional servicing through good maintenance. The council where really amazed by how comfortable the Toro mowers are and the upgraded maneuverability of the new machines”. Lewis goes on “I think Toro machines look fantastic. I love the colour and they look sleek if you know what I mean!”
Lewis takes pride in looking smart at work and appreciates the opportunity to wear his T H WHITE Groundcare uniform. He said “it’s great to feel that I look professional and well turned out every day at work. It says so much about a company when everyone is happy to wear their uniform. Everyone here is friendly and has been approachable and welcoming towards me. So far, it’s all been a great experience”.
We wish Lewis all the best in his new role.
