The phenomenal growth in the uptake of electric vehicles – and the consequent need for charging point installations – has led to T H WHITE being awarded three contracts from local authority clients for installation of vehicle charge points across England and Wales with manufacturing partner Swarco.

The T H WHITE Energy, Fire & Security team began work on site for Oxfordshire County Council in preparation for the council’s planned programme of electric vehicle infrastructure. Hard on the heels of this success came similar contracts from Basildon & Rochford and Cardiff Councils. Charge points will be installed across these areas which are sure to be the first of many thousands that will appear in the next few years.

Electric vehicles are at the heart of the Government’s ultra-low emission vehicles policy and it is projected that between 9 and 12 million electric vehicles will be registered by the 2030s.
