On Friday 5th November a graduation lunch was arranged for three Apprentices, across our Agriculture and Groundcare division, who have successfully graduated over the last 12 months. T H WHITE Managing Director- Alex Scott, attended the lunch and congratulated them on their achievements and presented each Apprentice with a bottle of champagne and a T H WHITE certificate.
The two graduates from our Agriculture division were Josh Icke, from Hereford, and Josh Ellison, from Toddington. They both completed their Level 3 in Land Based Service Engineering by combining their time between “on the job” training, at their respective depots, as well as block release at Reaseheath college in Cheshire. Both Josh’s are very well respected within their teams and are looking forward to the new challenges ahead of them as they progress on their career paths within T H White Agriculture.
Secondly from our Groundcare division, congratulations goes to Joe Dickenson based out of our Redditch branch. Ray Eckersley- Manager of Redditch had these kind words to say:
“We were lucky to recruit Joe who had already completed the first year of his apprenticeship with Lewis Loaders. He was about to be made redundant when we were approached and made aware of his situation by Pershore college. After interviewing him we decided their loss was our gain and offered him a position. He very quickly became a valued member of the Redditch team and excels in fabrication.”
At T H WHITE, we run a comprehensive and practical apprenticeship scheme for school leavers aged 16 and over. Opportunities exist within every division of the company and all incorporate a day of block release at college to gain the knowledge element of the qualification, with on-the-job practical experience gained in our workshops or on site. Apprenticeships are a great way to get industry experience and skills, in a hands-on working environment.
