Rob Piatek recently joined our team as the Area Sales Manager, bringing a wealth of experience in the security industry. With 37 years under his belt, Rob started as an installation engineer, spending 15 years “on the tools” before moving into sales, where he’s spent over 20 years honing his craft. He was drawn to our company by the chance to work locally and reconnect with Ken Ash, a colleague from his past.

Role, Responsibilities and Challenges

Rob finds great satisfaction in his role, particularly in engaging with customers and finding tailored solutions for their security needs. He appreciates the dynamic nature of his job, which keeps him on the road and away from the confines of an office. However, transitioning into this role hasn’t been without its challenges. Rob has had to reacquaint himself with aspects like operating systems, and he was surprised by the sheer size and complexity of T H WHITE, which has numerous divisions.

Company Culture and Personal Growth

Rob describes the company culture as friendly and professional, noting the strong teamwork and supportive environment. The help he’s received from office staff with administrative tasks has been invaluable, showcasing the company’s core values of respect, customer focus, and a can-do attitude.

Eager to continue his professional development, Rob aims to expand his knowledge, particularly in fire system design, which complements his extensive background in security systems. He looks forward to mastering the diverse technologies offered by T H WHITE Energy, Fire & Security.

One of the highlights of Rob’s experience with us has been the warm welcome he received, which has made his transition smoother and more enjoyable. Looking ahead, he aspires to spend the remainder of his career—about 12 more years—growing with the company. Rob envisions staying adaptable and evolving with the industry, drawing from his extensive experience witnessing the transformation from basic systems like VCR recorders and pagers to advanced IP cameras and smart technologies.
