It’s National Apprenticeship Week, so we have been catching up with some of our recently graduated apprentices, including new Agricultural technician, Elliott Moon. Due to Covid, Elliott has had a bit of a wait to officially graduate from his Land Based Engineering apprenticeship, with his official graduation being delayed.
Elliott knew he wanted to get into Agriculture after working on a farm and being around the machinery. “T H WHITE were recommended to me for an apprenticeship, and I’d heard they would be a good company to work for” he reflected.
Since graduating Elliott told us how he is enjoying being out on the road; building a customer base and being the one the customers call when in need of some assistance. Plus, how the development through the apprenticeship (with its hands-on approach), practical lessons and getting to work and learn alongside colleagues, has added to the independence he is enjoying today.
We asked him what his advice is to anyone looking to do an apprenticeship. Elliott responded “I can recommend the career path to anyone. Don’t be afraid to chuck yourself at it as it can open up doors for you in the future.”
We look forward to seeing Elliott progress more in his role at T H WHITE and supporting him with his future goal of becoming a Master Technician.
